Communications Request Form

This form is for requesting newsletter articles and service announcements, special emails, and signup forms. Articles in newsletter will generally also be published on the church website (newcityfellowship.com/news) and have slides made for the pre-service loop.

NOTE: Church-wide communications ordinarily are reserved for things that are sponsored/conducted by/for a ministry, affiliate ministry, session committee, or staff of our church or denomination (typically not for private/individual or other external groups).  Church-wide communications will also need to be relevant to a large % of people or a large demographic of the congregation.

Deadlines: We ask that items for the Friday newsletter be submitted by Wednesday noon. Special emails typically need a week in advance for proper coordination.  Ministry moments and Prayer Focus announcements are often scheduled far in advance, so as much lead time as possible is recommended.

Requests for official New City ministries and affiliate ministries will be prioritized. Ordinarily we do not publish or announce outside ministries, community events, or personal/private requests.

Will often also be posted on website and most items will also have slides for the Announcements Slides Loop in the Sunday Service. Announcements for the newsletter/website are due by 12:00 NOON Wednesday. Content must be ordinarily be related to a New City ministry or ministry partner. Office staff retain editorial privilege/responsibility. Most announcements will run for 1-3 weeks.

Staff need to exercise discretion with regard to time limitations in the service. These announcements will usually only be made one time (not multiple weeks), and typically there will be only a couple per week. Plan on no more than 45-60 seconds each (100-125 words) presented by an elder or pastor. Approved announcements will generally also have pre-service slides. If you have graphics/slides or video, please attach later in this form.

Special emails can be sent for events that require emphasis or timing that can't be accommodated by the regular newsletter. Emails are scheduled at the church staff's discretion based on church needs and volume of emails being sent out. Staff retain editorial privilege. If you have any graphics or attachments you would like to include you can do so later in this form.

Signups can simply gather info about each individual coming or just the number of people coming. They also can accept/track payment. They can be used to register people for events or to sign up volunteers to serve.
